Wreckovery Salvage and Gold Coast Explorations LLC have a number of exciting projects and expeditions planned that should keep us busy for the next several years. Some of these projects include:
...Exploration
of an area off Palm Beach County FL. that archaeological evidence leads
us to believe is an early to mid 17th century wooden sailing vessel. In
the late 1960's a number of assorted artifacts were recovered by a recreational
diver in the area. Other items were left in situ. This diver contacted
us and an agreement was reached to explore & salvage the shipwreck
for them, once permission is obtained from the Florida Bureau of Archaeological
Research.
...Continued
exploration of shipwrecks located along Florida's fabled Treasure Coast,
concentrating on the capitana site of the 1715 fleet, the Santo Cristo
de San Roman, located off Vero Beach, working as a subcontractor to 1715
Fleet Queens Jewels, LLC.
...We
will continue to work with Jupiter Coins Inc. on the San Miguel de Archangel
site (Jupiter inlet) in an effort to find the primary cultural deposit.
Gold and silver bullion and over 15,000 silver & gold coins have been
found to date.
...Return
to Eleuthera where the remains of the clipper ship Young America have been
identified by Wreckovery Salvage. The recovery of the remarkably
well preserved capstan revealed a bronze plate inscribed with the name
of the ship, its captain and the date the ship was constructed (1853).
This is a long-term project that we will continue to work as time and money
permits.
